I was able to get a debut edition Lyriq reservation and received an email yesterday that the Super Cruise and Surround Vision features would have the hardware installed but not be available for use until later in the year when they release a software update. They are offering a year of free charging with EVGo or 100,000 Cadillac Reward points for the inconvenience but the release they are asking for in exchange is pretty broad. Feels like one of those things that we don’t really have an option on but curious what others are doing?
Yup, this one isn’t ideal. Happened to GM’s cross-town rival (from Dearborn) as well when launching its Super Cruise competitor.
I would take the Cadillac Reward points and get some accessories as they become available during the Lyriq’s launch.
