So, I placed an order in May for a 2023 Silverado 2500 Duramax, 4×4, Crew Cab, Regular Bed, in the LT trim level. Along with other packages, I want the Convenience II and Leather packages. I’ve been patiently waiting for my dealership to come through with an allocation and I’ve been told continually the the Convenience II package is on constraint. Nothing has been mentioned to me about an issue with the leather package. I just noticed today on the Chevy website that the configuration tool for the 2023 model year is released, and that these 2 specific packages that I want are listed as “Late availability”. Does anybody know what that means? I find it interesting, convenient (for Chevy) and disheartening (for me) that all the features of these 2 packages are standard features in the LTZ trim level and that nothing on the LTZs appear to be on constraint? Is this Chevy’s way of trying to push customers into higher trims and paying more for features they don’t need or want? If it is… I’m not going to bite. Back to my original question… does anybody know what “Late availability” means or where I can go to find out? BTW, I checked with my dealer and they have no idea.
You might be correct. My ‘23 High Country HD, hit the dealer yesterday, delivered “as ordered”. Like yours, it was ordered mid May, built and delivered two days shy of a month.
