Has anyone received the recall notice regarding the L87 recall? I’m going to purchase a ’22 or ’23 Escalade. If the engine has been replaced and the warranty extended to 10 years or 100k miles, will this warranty cover the second owner?
You probably wont get a letter right away because GM cant make up their on this recall. There have been 4 revisions since it came out om April 30th so every dealer is pretty much confused. We did have a internet meeting today with GM and they did say that there is going to be a extended warranty for 10 years or 100k miles however we have nothing in writing. In my opinion if the Escalade has the warranty done in your name you should get the coverage and thats the way its been done in the past..
There now anther revision to this recall and it all depends on the build date of your engine. Engines built prior to a certain date will be replace and all others will be sent on there way. Nothing about 0-40 oil or any of that.
