      Letter to McGee Buick

I made an appointment a couple of weeks ago for an oil change & to have a recall (#A212335472) done. The appointment was for 9am. I arrived at 8:27. Your invoice #25420 verifies the times. The vehicle was immediately taken into the garage. Over 2 hours later I was told that the oil change was done (2 hours to do an oil change?) but the new jack is NOT available. The service writer says they don’t know when or if they will ever get the new jacks. But they did remove the questionable jack for my safety. Now I have NO jack nor do I feel my safety is better. I understand life at a dealership, after having been in the automotive retail industry for 25 years, can be hectic. Communication between the service writers and the customers could be better. In this case the customer, me, was in the waiting area for over 2 hours. In the end, I am not mad at the length of the service visit. A bit disappointed but not mad. What does upset me immensely is the handling if the recall. I received 2 notices. I made an appointment weeks in advance. I waited for hours at the dealership. And the recall isn’t done. They don’t know when or even if it will ever be done. Good job McGee Buick. I like the product but not the service.
