ParticipantI just bought a 2014 Impala 1LT and I love it. One minor problem is with the Chevrolet MyLink radio favorites, it is extremely difficult to access more than my first 5 favorite radio stations.
The swipe action (like with an iPhone) does not seem to work very often when I try it side to side or up and down. Is there some basic trick I am missing to see my 6th and later favorites?

ParticipantOn my 2014 Chevy SS, I use the favorites button to swipe through the pages which works well for me.

ParticipantIt is difficult to operate. Take a little bit of force on the screen to have a chance. This is about the only place I’ve seen the swipe used so far. Should be redesigned without the swipe.
I need to figure out how to navigate only through favorites on steering wheel. Having to go into the favorites submenu every time is silly. There should be an option at the same level as changing channels to only change favorite channels. -

Participantokay – I figured it was some where. I probably should have read the manual in more detail or listened to the salesman a little longer.
Behind the steering wheel on on the left side – Instant favorites access up/down. Right side rocker controls volume behind wheel.
You really don’t need to get into the dash panel for the favorites.
I was just hoping there was an easier way through the menu system when you up/down xm channels (and can access favorites in a submenu there), but the rocker behind the wheel is pretty nice.

Moderator@impy2ltz2014 Yeah, those rocker switches behind the wheel aren’t readily visible, but are useful as all heck! Glad you found them.
Like you said, swiping using the screen needs a tad more pressure. It’s no iPad, but it’s close.

ParticipantI usually just use the buttons on the steering wheel on my terrain…. its just that when you try to tilt up the switch it just turns to the next radio favorite and then I just learned that you have to keep pressing the switch so that it jumps from am, fm, xm, cd, aux, etc…… mine is just the color touch

ParticipantThere is another issue I found with the “my link” favorites buttons on the 2014 impala. When using the favorites rocker switches on the back of the steering wheel you can scroll through your favorites on the DIC, but the favorites buttons on the radio display along the bottom don’t scroll and shift to the next group of 5 presets. I find this a bit annoying especially since the radios in my 2013 Buick Lacrosse and old 2012 Impala worked this way.

ParticipantThe presets do not work with a swipe like an iPhone. You must hold your finger on the screen, above the 5 presets, for about a second then drag the screen up or down. A swipe will not work but a touch and drag will.

ModeratorYeah, @rjx_74 — the movement of the presets in the DIC aren’t synced up with the presets on the main MyLink screen.
@cars That’s exactly right. The gesture/motion isn’t to much a “swipe” as it is a “hold then drag”. I think that’s because the screens aren’t capacitive touch (like iPhones/iPads), but are instead resistive touch — meaning that they work off pressure, not heat.
