I have just ordered a Canyon Denali and would like to keep up with its progress in the system, however, I find no responses to tracking requests on these pages….is anyone actually doing searches and reporting back?

I would give that a hard no. I submitted my track order more than 5 days ago and no response.

This is one feature that is woefully needed and unfortunately not staffed by GM Authority. Kind of makes their credibility less than acceptable. GM chat can set up weekly notifications on order progress..

I keep posting to ,non,;this “service” hoping someone at GM Authority will take notice and shut down tracking if they (GM Authority) has no intention of responding to anyone.

I love posting here as it is the only response I can expect from this vehicle tracking service. My truck is scheduled to be built next week…then the wait for shipping…then the wait while it sits in a railroad car on a siding in Cheyenne or other obscure place as they build a train to go North and East. So Mike maybe next week at this time your new truck will be a reality. 🙂

Let’s see where I am now…in Target Production Week, I have the vin number but so far cannot show where vehicle has been produced. Hang in there for more exciting tracking news that came from sources other than GM Authority. ?

Well here we are several weeks later and my new Denali pick up is at the rail yard waiting for a carrier to take it a mile to the dealer. My dealer had a number he could call which gave the location of the rail car the truck was on. I found ways to track the build progress from order to ship but none of the information was provided by this forum.

I have not been watching this forum as there is never any response from GM Authority, the way I tracked my order was:
1. GM chat and ask that they email you an update each week
2. Camaro 6 forum, Becky will give you an update each day if you request it, they also have a list of production code numbers and what they mean.
3. GM Inside News forum Linton will update you but there are times when he will miss a day or two before responding.
4. Bug your dealer (salesman) and request at least a weekly report on progress.
The TPW (Target Production Week) is the first milestone so you will know the week your ride will be assembled. ( I knew mine three weeks prior to it happening, it was also the first week of 2020 production.
Next is actually receiving the VIN….Mine was available on Monday of TPW, vehicle produced on Thursday.
Vehicle produced
Often will immediately go to code 4B00 (not4800) or bayed…set aside to do some touch up or perhaps a spray in liner or other items not normally on production line. Mine remained “bayed” for ten days and I am sure that was to get the accessory chrome door trim added.
Finally Shipped! Once on a rail car expect ten days to two weeks to get to your off loading port and trucking to the dealership.
My 2020 Denali took exactly sixty days from date of order to delivery at the dealer.-
