When I plug my iPhone into the USB port in the driver console of my 2015 GMC Acadia, it automatically starts playing the music on my phone via IntelliLink or whatever audio app I was using on the phone last. But most of the time I’m just plugging my phone in just to charge it while I drive and I don’t want to play the music on my phone. I have to change the “Source” every time I plug my phone in back to what I was listening to earlier.
How do I disable auto play when I connect my phone to IntelliLink and I just want the phone to charge?
For now I’ve resorted to adding a 3rd party charger to the cigarette lighter that just charges the phone but that seems like a waste. I should be able to use the built-in ports for the same reason.

I don’t think there’s anyway to disable it. I don’t find it a big problem on both of my Malibu and my Terrain mostly I can just press source to change it back to whatever I was listening to.
Just plug the phone in before starting the car. It works for me. If not, just change the source back to what you had before.
