ParticipantI have a 2018 Trax and a samsung s9+. Both had worked fine together until the new android update to OS pie. Immediately upon every phone call incoming, you can not answer the phone from the console and then it RINGS AND NEVER STOPS. Bluetooth pairs, I can use handsfree to text and call. But all incoming calls go into a loop and it will ring FOREEVER! I took it to the dealer and it literally took them 3 hours to fix it. They ended up calling some help desk ( samsung??) and printing out the fix. I had to factory reset my phone the other day so it is BACK!
I have unpaired, paired, cleared cache, completely uninstall my chevy app, forgot phone, and started over. Nothing works. I went to the Samsung forum and there are a ton of this EXact issue there . I am SO frustrated as I need my handsfree for work. It will literall ring all day long if you are driving. Has anyone heard of this ? Thanks -

Participantwhats preventing you from calling the same SAMSUNG help number and asking the same question the persons who worked on your vehicle previously to fix the same issue? It would be no different than if you called yourself, would it not? and the added benefit would be you will know how to remedy the situation as well for future knowledge…..

ParticipantI have the exact same issue as kitten56 and I have done everything they have done except for taking it into the shop. Samsung sent me to BestBuy who recommended that I reset the phone back to factory settings which I did, but I still have the same issue. AT&T couldn’t help either. I have a 2019 GMC Terrain and I have not been able to use the Bluetooth feature since January 31, 2019. I chatted with General Motors and they told me they were aware of the problem and a fix was coming. Now that two months have passed, I am beginning to wonder.

ParticipantHi I actually posted the Fix last month. Let me get it for you.
1)Delete Android Auto from the phone in Play store
2) on phone- settings- connections-bluetooth-advanced-three dots in right corner- find Ring Tone Sync and turn it off. that is causing the loop that never ends.
3) reinstall Android Auto
4) leave car off , no key for 5 minutes
5)go to radio- home screen-settings-system- go to phones and select the little pen/pencil icon and forget the device.
6) turn car off for 3 minutes
7)reconnect the phone.
