My 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 won’t start, and no sound coming out fuel tank at all. If I were to replaced it at a shop, how much would it cost? Anyone?
If your vehicle can’t work, a bad fuel pump may cause the problem, but several other factors may also cause such a problem. Cars are complicated machines and require multiple systems to function in concert to work. If you make sure that the problem is the fuel pump, I can tell you the cost of replacing a fuel pump. Cost consists of parts & labor. Parts cost varies, it’s usually around $80-200 per pump. Labor cost can range between $300 to $1000 depending on the complexity of the job.
You are right. I will need to double-check to see if it’s the pump. Based on my current observation, it’s most likely the pump. Could you recommend a site for pumps?
I found this answer on Google:
The average cost for a fuel pump replacement is between $220 and $1,062 depending on vehicle and age. Labor costs are estimated between $124 and $260, while parts are priced between $95 and $854.
You came to the right person. I used OEM and aftermarket parts before, if you are not a die-hard OEM guy, you could consider aftermarket ones. I have used Autobest pumps for a long time, their prices are reasonable, and they have a dealer on eBay. You can check out that store. https://www.ebay.com/str/originalpartsgiant
