I accidentally pulled the rubber lining from the storage space in front of the shifter while vacuuming my 2011 Cruze and now can’t figure out how to insert the front part so its sits flush with the rest of the console. The two rubber spaces go in just fine, but the part in the front just sticks up. Any suggestions?
You’re talking about the small compartment in the front below the HVAC controls, right?

Ah, yes. I’ve seen that one come out before. 2 things to be aware of when putting the liner back in:
1. There is a horizontal lip (close to the shifter) that you need to slide the long edge of that mat into it, and
2. There are side lips (on each side) that kind of hold it in place
It’s a delicate process — so make sure the environment is lit and you can spend a good 10 minutes on it. If you do, it wont come out again.
