ParticipantAnd the prize for the worst thread title in the world goes to (drumroll plz) Vic!
Honesty, it’s very long: “I think SLP or Chevrolet(if serious) needs to work on this Cruze in order to caught up with aussies”
In reality, GM should just do a Cruze Z spec. Very few people want the SLP stuff. It’s ugly and tasteless and cheap.

KeymasterAs much as I want a Chevy with these specs, there is no reason for Chevy to not make one itself. There’s also no reason that Ford, Honda, Dodge, and Nissan can have hotted-up compacts, and for the largest automaker in the world can’t. The market for an SLP vehicle of this type would be very, very limited.

ParticipantIt’s cool, it’s white, it’s over priced. How about a 202hp 2.5L … Not a high perforamce CRUZE, just a decently powered daily driver. Yet with a 2.0L turbo it would soothe the soul of those wanting a hipo Cruze. A Wagon would be nice along with a Coupe, and maybe a hatch all with power options. Damn what a concept………….

ParticipantAnd also I don’t think there’s a lot of people buy the spec v nor does it sell like hot cakes like the rest of the sentra models

KeymasterIt doesn’t have to sell many units, nor is it mean to.
The purpose of a high-performance model is usually two-fold:
1. To get people in the door attracted to the hotted-up version, and
2. To serve the market for the vehiclesAll of the manufacturers above understand this… GM thinks it’s different.

ParticipantWhat I meant is kind of like if people talk about the SE-R spec V it’s like wow that car still existed like it’s kinda forgotten it.
