Participantjust bought a 2012 Terrain SLE-2 with V6. Just traded in my Lucerne for this car and love it! The color of this car I think it’s called Steel Green Metalic and it does have the Nav system. Now two questions. On the screen, whenever you touch each tab (Nav, XM traffic, etc) is it suppose to have a beep? Because mine don’t. Another thing is when using the Navigation with destination set, when you’re going to turn to another street, does it have ding-ding sound? Because Mine doesn’t. Or can anybody tell me how to set it up? Thank you!!

KeymasterThe button feedback is a setting (in configuration, I believe it’s called). The same for the turn notifications.
Have you tried looking in the config?
I’ll have access to one of these tomorrow; will check it out for myself as well.

KeymasterLet’s see if this works:
For anyone not able to see the video above, here’s the menu structure to get to the chime on/off page:Configuration > Vehicle Settings > Comfort and Convenience > Button Chime

Participantfyi – I got a 2012 Sierra Denali with same touch screen Nav and mine does not beep. I would guess the default is set to off.

ParticipantHave same touch screen as in your pic, Denali was built in 01/12. I beleive the started switching in Jan and Nav went on constraint on 01/19 and is still only available on customer orders.

KeymasterWhich button is that? The chime on/off checkbox? Are you going to the Vehicle Settings config menu?

ParticipantI think it might be the button chime I don’t know because mine only has chime volume and that’s it. (under the vehicle settings).

ParticipantBut then it only comes with Chime Sound instead of Chime sound plus the button chime which mine doesn’t have and if you can check when you set the destination on the navigation ones does it alert you with 2 ding sounds when you’re about to turn to a street?

KeymasterQuick update: there don’t seem to be any Equinoxes or Terrains with navigation in my area, which is rather odd. I’ll keep looking.

ParticipantAlex I think there’s a Equinox on the Phil Long Chevrolet that has the Nav. Can you go check to see if it’s the same with the Nox?

ParticipantMy Father recently bought the same model as you own (same color as well!!) and his system does not chime or beep either. Now, I “think” they set this option at the dealer. You might be able to give your dealer a quick call and ask how to set it back to chime.
