My husband and I placed our order for a 2022 Chevy Silverado Rst redline crew cab 6.2 on Feb 5 it wasn’t picked up so we have to reorder it as a 2023 with a 5.3 because of the many price increase during the 2022 MY. Not sure when the will start pulling order for production. I have heard that they might start building 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 in mid-August.

I heard 2023 are going into production starting August 28th. My dealer told me I might not see it until early first quarter next year.
Did you get pricing on it ?

Production startup date depends on the model and configuration. The Silverado 1500 regular and crew cab are scheduled for 8/29/22,
the double cab for 9/6/22, per the Donlen site: https://www.donlen.com/manufacturer-updates/build-out-startup-dates/gm-trucks-build-out-final-order-start-up-dates/

I traded my 2021 2500 HD Custom CC LB 4×4 6.6 gas on 12/22/21 for a 2022, same model, and order has not been picked up by GM due to constraints and dealer lack of allocation. I learned two weeks ago, from my dealer, that GM will not produce any more long beds this year so if I wanted the long bed I will have to reorder a 2023. I placed the order 6/10/22 with out knowing the pricing yet. I am aware that I am losing my price protection on the original order and can only hope the dealer treats me well. He said he would. Original order was at MSRP with an even swap for trade.
Production start up for the 2500 crew cab is 7/18/22 but dealer does not know when he will get allocation to get accepted or what will be on constraint at that time or when pricing will be available. At this point it’s all a big gamble ordering a new vehicle!

Had a ’22 LT Trail Boss configured on 7/29. Sales came back and said constraints on the ’22. Had to order a ’23. Exact options with the ’23 as the ’22. Price wise it was $1100 more. Now I am in the high percent of people on this forum of “were is my stuff at”. HA ! For now.

Dealer said we had to cancel my 22 order. So we submitted a new 23 order on 7/7/22. Production starts late august so I’m hoping they will accept my order soon. Chevrolet sent me a $3,000 off certificate for my new order for the inconvenience but gave it a 1/1/23 expiration date. Which is kind of pointless because unless a miracle happens and i take delivery by January its guaranteed to expire.

jerryd5247. Sounds like you are in the same position as my husband and I placed original order on February 5 for a Chevy Silverado Rst but was never pulled so are reordering a 2023 got the same email.I guess we will have to see what happens not getting my hopes up to much and looking to see if there’s any truck on the dealership lots that compare to what we ordered. Good luck in your truck journey.

Gave up on the 2023 reorder Custom 2500.
Dealer called me Sat. and informed me had a customer back out on an order that was just delivered to the lot. An 2022 2500 LT Z-71 Sport Edition crew cab long bed 4×4 6.6 gas with off road package. Not my favorite color but loaded with options and he made me a great deal on it so so I took it.

Ordered a 2023, 2500HD diesel, High Country a week after May 5th, when GM started accepting orders. Dealer has allocation and last check says, ordered, being scheduled for production.

Ordered a 22 MY 6/6/22 with the 6.2, max trailering pkg & as many opts as I could add to it. Dealer told me my order would be a 23 MY about 3 weeks ago, but haven’t heard a word since. They haven’t been able to tell me if they’ll be able to just apply my specs to a 23 MY, if I’ll need to reorder or when I’ll be able to reorder (if need be). Has anyone else been able to build out & reorder a 23 MY yet? If so, how/where do we go? GMs website is slightly better than their communication…

tlangemeier Here’s the way it went for me. The dealer went on his computer, and was able to get into the order page… It ends up being a new build, but he was able to keep the same specs. You get a whole new six digit code, and the process starts all over again.

Your dealer would have the best tools to reset to a 23my.
Hurry cause the next build date for the truck you want is in 4 more weeks.

I believe I was approved for a 2023 HD, I was approved by chevy for processing 7/25/22, and yesterday I messaged the chevy chat and was told that it was ready for transit, I would need to talk to my dealer about delivery. I’ll try and see my dealer this coming week and get you updates, including a VIN if there is one. Order # BTFRNS

Ketozop, you should have heard something by now. After messaging with my order number on Chevy.com this afternoon, I received this message…

“Congratulations! Your vehicle has been produced. It is important to know that shipping arrangements will take place next and your selling dealer is the best source for additional detail on that process.”

I ordered my ‘23 High Country after you, so I would think yours was produced also. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that I get what I ordered without additional constraints. Good Luck.

Regarding the $3000 certificate. I have the same issue (with my ’22 rolling over to ’23) and it would be nice to have that discount of course. Is there a certificated # or program name that I can take to my dealer or contact GM?

Not that i know of. My certificate was sent to me in the mail by surprise

JakRussll, I received the certificate by email. Placed order February 5. Ordered wasn’t picked up by Gm was still 1100 status. I could be completely wrong but I think that only factory order that were never pulled got the certificate.

Has anyone else heard anything about the max trailering pkg being on constraint? Just got off the phone with a different dealership to see about replacing the order I submitted 2 months ago. Was told they have no clue when GM a will be adding that pkg back into the lineup or if it would be on the 23 MY trucks. My original order was for the 6.2 with max trailering & all other available opts on the LTZ. Not sure if I’d have any better luck changing to the Sierra instead of the Silverado to get what I’m looking for? Always appreciate the feedback from this group. Thanks!

My order is showing as 2030 (change order). I guess it’s the same as 1100. As for the certificate, I got both the email, and something in the mail. when I went to the dealership, they were already notified about it. Chevy sent them an email also, so they DO know about it.
