So I know Ill probably get grilled for this but I’m already aware how ignorant I was.
Changed my timing chain on my 89 k1500 5.7 350 and used a hammer to reinstall my balancer now I have a knocking noise coming from the front of my motor. I’ve removed the serpentine belt and yes the noise is still there. So what have I done? I know there are several options cause I’ve obviously googled it but I’m looking for a straight forward no bs answer. It’s loud enough to cause me concern so just hit me with it, did I fubar my motor by doing something so stupid?
