Does GMC offer Brake Hold on the 2025 GMC Yukon XL Denali. Brake hold is a feature in some vehicles that maintains braking pressure after the driver releases the brake pedal, keeping the vehicle stopped. When the driver stops the vehicle, the brake hold feature retains the braking force and keeps the vehicle from moving until the driver presses the accelerator. The brake hold button is usually located on the center console near the parking brake. To activate it, the driver can:
Start the vehicle and fasten their seat belt
Put their foot on the brake and put the vehicle into drive
Push the brake hold button down while keeping their foot on the brake
Keep holding until the HOLD symbol light appears and they hear a beep
How to deactivate it
The brake hold feature is automatically released when the driver presses the accelerator pedal.
Some car brands that offer brake hold include Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Volkswagen, Audi,
Will GMC Offer this feature???
My 23 Yukon SLT has that feature . I usually notice it when parked on a sloped surface . I don’t actually push any button to activate it . Maybe I did when I first bought it during setup of the features but not really sure .
Not a fan of this feature on my 2022 Sierra. Would much rather have the old fashion manual parking brake.
It still takes me a second to realize what’s going on with it when it does happen . I’m getting used to it .
