GMC Canyon Sunroof

Bob – we’re not sure at all if the 2018 Canyon will or won’t have a sunroof. That said, there is some “tea leaves” to be read here, with the most important one being when the second-gen Canyon will get an MCE (Mid-Cycle Enhancement).

Since it launched for the 2015 model year, 2018 will represent its four year on the market, which historically makes a vehicle ripe for an MCE. Now, even if the Canyon does get the MCE for 2018, there is no guarantee that it will actually include an option for a sunroof. But since that has been one of the features most often called for by potential and current owners, I don’t think that’s out of the question.

Some information has been released on 2018 changes including new colors and loss of some existing colors, changes in the intellink in dash radio and screen size and the addition of heated mirrors on specific models. There was no mention of a sun roof in the several articles I read.

Not only the Sunroof, but if you’d put all accessories (front/side/overview cams, etc) in the Canyon Denali, I’ll take one. Also cooled seat backs, charge pad for cell phones, Talk to Text in the Intellicenter, drink holders large enough for 32z PowerAde bottles, and 6 way power seat.

Engineering costs of the 4 way seat when you already had a working 6 way was money down the drain.

Mine has cooled seat back (hasn’t been warm enough here to use it other than demo) it has a charge pad although my Apple I phone does not have that capability, the electric seat adjustment works just fine also but I do not have others driving the truck and changing it once set and finally my drink cup fits just fine although not. A monster one which I never use anyway. I guess it is all in ones perspective as to the way it is equipped, I would like a power slider and in dash 4×4 indicator as my missing features.
