I removed the rocker protector bars and installed running board steps. Too difficult to get in at 5″-8″. I observed several open holes in the underside of the rocker panels. I’ve been told by a dealer service Mgr. that they are drain holes, although some online videos say they should be plugged. Seems like they are a way for water, road salt, and dirt to collect. I did get the Auto Armor package with the product sprayed into the rocker panels via the holes. I’m just worried that open holes will cause the rockers to rust out from the inside.
Anyone have an opinion or expertise on the holes…plug/leave open?
