ParticipantHere’s my situation, I ordered a 2500 HD from a dealer April 1. They basically jacked me around for 12 weeks. On June 24 they said the problem was my color and some running boards. On June 25 I ordered from another dealer but I had to order a 23. I ordered the exact same truck same color same running boards and now I will take the delivery of that truck I ordered June 25 probably August 20. My question is this, I had to go from a 22 to a 23 because that dealer jacked me around so I lost $1500 worth of incentives! Where at GM can I call and get somebody that might possibly be able to help me? Chevy chat is worthless! Any help would be appreciated. I need to know before I go into the dealership on Saturday.

ParticipantMost incentives by this time of year are to close out the prior year’s inventory, if any. Whether “jacked around” or not, by June, it’s likely that the changeover was too close to get you all of your options on the old year’s model. Heck; I put in an order on a fully-loaded 2022 Bolt EUV Premier on January 20 and it was “accepted for production,” only to not make the 2022 schedule. Some say that Chevy wasn’t installing one of my options, Super Cruise, except as standard equipment in the Launch Edition. But, whatever it was, I didn’t know until 3 months later when it was too late to make changes and get on the 2022 schedule. So, instead of a 2022 in Cherry Red, I’m getting a 2023 in Radiant Red (a little more “orangey”), which I’ll just have to live with at this point. What I’m saying is “you are NOT alone.” I’m not calling YOU “Dorothy,” but we are not only not in Kansas anymore, but we are not in 2019 anymore. The world, at least for the foreseeable future, is not the world we once knew and on which we could generally depend. But, good luck. I hope you can find a sympathetic ear to help you. But, don’t forget that THEY are frazzled, too.
