After waiting 13 months for my new Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss it finally came in. I had pretraded my truck for $36,000, so I had a deposit on file. I had ordered a 2021; and kept getting emails the order was received but not accepted. Finally, my dealer suggested I try ordering a 2022, which I did in December 2021. I got my new truck in May 2022. I lost all the rebates on my original order, plus the cost of the truck went up. It ended up costing me an additional $10,000. I have been trying to recoup my $10,000 by talking with GM Customer Service. Last week, the Executive I spoke with told me that I was my dealership’s customer and the dealership was GM’s customer and it was up to the dealer to do something for me and they should try to recoup it from GM. While I don’t expect them to refund me the full amount, a little incentive would be nice. I have been a loyal GM customer and have owned 19 vehicles over the years. Their Customer Service doesn’t want to hear that or care.
