ParticipantHello all.
My 2022 Silverado 1500 RST has a problem when I turn the radio on it always defaults to SiriusXM. It’s extremely annoying I have never subscribe to it nor do I want to subscribe to it. I want it out of my infotainment center!
There is nothing in my settings that will allow me to get rid of this app and that’s annoying also.
Has anybody found a way to literally delete Sirius Xm from their infotainment center?
I went through my GM account and all that keeps popping up is XM’s customer service line to transfer an account but nothing about deleting the damn thing from my radio.
Any help would be appreciated thank you.

ParticipantHonestly, Its sounds like you need a software update. I dont think you can remove the App however when I turn my radio it opens up just like a phone and you pick the app you want to use..

ParticipantThanks Partman. I have the latest software update installed. But it’s obvious that Sirius has a contract with GM to default to its station every time you turn the radio in IF YOUR NOT A SUBSCRIBER. And THATS the problem. It doesn’t show up as an app in the settings at all. So basically it’s an infomercial to try and get you to subscribe.
And it’s really annoyingly arrogant. The radio should turn on to the last station I was on, and it doesn’t.
But thanks for trying.

ParticipantTry pulling the fuse on the infotainment system. I had this and a lot of other issues before pulling the fuse and forcing a hard reboot

ParticipantThanks!
I’ll try to find what fuse it is and try that. My RST owners manual has a generic fuse layout that doesn’t show all the fuses in our truck, so I’ll do some digging. You guys rock!

ParticipantMy 2021 Silverado would default to the radio defaulting to the last station I was listening to. I think JS1 has the answer. If that doesnt work let me know and I can check for you.
