I have a new 2022 GMC Denali Limited with the 6.2L V-8 that has been sitting for 2 1/2 months waiting for new fuel injectors. First I don’t understand how a brand-new engine that has been in production would have this problem? Second GMC says it’s a supply chain issue. I don’t understand this as they are building this engine and placing it in vehicles every day? Is anyone else having a problem with injectors being bad?

Brought my 2022 limited sierra denali 6.2l with 1500 miles in 2 weeks ago. Same issue with bad injectors and national back order. My boss had a 2022 limited sierra at4 with 6.2 and his motor blew. The dealer did receive his motor. So I guess I am screwed

I have been waiting 4 weeks with my 22’ trailboss 6.2L needing an injector after 3700 miles on it. Haven’t gotten any update on anything being done or any idea of a timeline for these parts. Service manager said these engines have been having this issue specifically with these injectors so it’s nothing new to him I guess. Bigmike5497, did your bosses dealer receive a new engine or not? I’m confused?

Had my truck a week. 2022 limited SLT crew cab standard box 6.2L. I noticed a misfire the DAY after I got it home. In the shop with 300 miles. Been two months and doesn’t look promising anytime soon. I get the current times but this is not exceptable.
Takes alot of the fun out of buying a new 65k truck !!!
At this point gm can buy back my truck and I’ll drive the 2004 farm truck. What good is all this high tech when it’s so completely unreliable?
I’d like to see the data logs.i bet this truck was like this at the factory and they sent it along anyway… it runs, next.

I’m in the same boat, bigmike. At this point I’d like gm to buy back the truck. No update on injectors and no ETA on when they will arrive. CRAZY

I was just told my brand new 22’ Yukon XL Denali needs an new fuel injector? Are they not available at all? Shouldn’t they all be replaced if defective? What’s up with this? Thank you.

I am still waiting, I have been on phone with different management and even emailed ceo. Supposed to get info from executive team by tomorrow on date of injector shipping out. I was told twice that they would be in this month, never happened. Also if i took a rental from them they wouldn’t refund me lease payments. They may have to buy me out soon only issue I have is had my trucker completely wrapped with xlpe paint protection film and will lose that money. I never owned a gm product and may never after this issue.

Are they replaving all injectors or just one? Also, did you hear anything about the lack of a fuel filter causing the injector problems?

Any update from anyone on getting their fuel injectors? They dropped off a loaner car for me but no news on getting my truck back on the road. Does anyone know anybody at GM I could call to get any information? I haven’t asked for a refund or replacement vehicle yet but plan to do so at the end of next week.

Big Mike, please post the last 8 digits of your VIN and I’ll see if there is any updates. The last time I looked it was December promise date for these injectors

Does anybody have any updates/more insight into this problem? I just got a 2022 Sierra Denali 6.2L in September, it was shuddering from day one. Had to bring it to the dealer twice because they couldn’t diagnose the problem, then eventually a month in I got a check engine light. Dealer says it’s a failed fuel injector, and truck is sitting at the shop waiting for parts. Has having the injector replaced solved all problems for you guys? Very concerning.

For my 22 Yukon XL Denali in NY I waited about 3 weeks for one fuel injector. Dealer brought it back by flatbed and they gave me a loaner. All seems okay now but you never know – the other injectors are the same as the bad ones. Given all these issues they should just replace all injectors from a different source before they go bad. So far no issues after one injector replaced,

The Best thing you can do is call GMC Customer Service ( just google it) and make a complaint. It’ll speed the process up a little, but you can get compensated for your downtime. They made a month’s payment and gave me 50,000 points on GMC Rewards.
