There are a few things that should have been incorporated in my Canyon Denali that big brother Sierra has. For instance a power rear slider would be nice as well as a Home Again garage door opener, but at least both have a lock on the tailgate.
Therein lies my post, although the key lock is better than no lock ( I have a Extang Solid Fold cover on mine) a power lock that locks or unlocks with the door locks would be much better. I found such a critter in the Dynaloc unit, a kit with the heavy US actuator is delivered for $130 and well worth the cost. The kit has instructions with photos and detailed directions for the relatively simple installation.
Now when the door locks are activated with the key fob or I phone the tailgate locks to provide limited security to items inside.
