If I look closely at the bottom of my Camaro’s headlights, I notice a fairly wide gap between it and the bumper. I’m just wondering if it’s just my Camaro that I somehow screwed up or if every one of them is like that.
I’m attaching a photo to show where my gap is.
As far as I know, all Camaros are like that. My 2012 is like that.
I first discovered it the day after I bought it and thought the dealer sold me a bad/damaged Camaro. Then I went back to the lot on a Sunday when they were closed and lo and behold, all Camaros had that gap.
Now, I know it doesn’t matter, but GM could have definitely done a better job designing that piece. It looks like there’s something wrong with it. Good thing one needs to look from a certain angle to notice it.
Mine is the same from factory. Roughly 1/4 inch gap and yes, it’s not really noticeable.
I wonder if Jeremy Clarkson will poke fun at it like he did at the plastic bumper of the Corvette…
Either way, they couldn’t at the very least decrease that gap to a more respectable size? I can’t imagine a big ol’ slot like that does wonders for aerodynamics…
