There seems to be a lot of chatter on the internet about disabling the GM Factory DFM. My understanding is based on the lawsuit that was filed on the collapse of the lifters in the late model Silverado’s, due to the DFM system causing this problem.
I started by ordering a RANGE Technology DFM Disabler only to find out that per their TECH REP that it will not work with some of the 6.2L with a 10 speed transmission. THEN – I decided that I would try the PULSAR LT Inline Control Module which will work with the 10 speed, however now I have told that the truck will not pass the required State Inspection (Emissions) Test…
I’m open to any and all suggestions
If you disable the DEF system it wont pass a smog test
