I have a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 3.0 duramax with 600 miles on it has been at the dealer for a week they got the filter DPF from Denver Colorado and another part from Lansing Michigan and there is a seal, gasket that’s on back order they said would be next week to try to find it anyone know why it’s taking so long to get the parts and get my truck back? I haven’t made the first payment why is GM selling trucks they can’t get parts for?
Simple
Thanks to all the Covid nonsense many parts were not being made and/or shipped. The entire parts and subassemblies distribution system has been affected in hundreds of different ways. The GM UAW STRIKE hasn’t helped matters AT ALL. {Last sentence is true but pessimistic and sarcastic.} Signed a 40 year Chevy dealer former Parts Manager.
P. S. It’s NOT the dealers fault! 🤬😤
I know it’s not the dealers fault. I hauled new cars for over 20 years. GM needs to quit using the Virus as a excuse and get off there dead ass and get the gasket to the dealer. My truck has been at the dealer for 2 weeks waiting on it. I didn’t pay $60k for a truck to be treated like this.
Since you were a GM parts manager how about helping me out and get the gasket to Ferman Chevy in Tampa Florida for me!
