I’ve been watching the Denali Ultimate’s rolling off the line via the web site and saw the first one today with a credit for no Wireless Charging. I guess here we go again? Unlike months ago there’s no mention of a retrofit. Though it seems like among the other kinds of things what were on restriction in the past this should be the easiest to retrofit.
I just ordered a 2023 Denali Premium. No wireless charging available to add option now, or as retrofit for 2023.
I’ll take the rear camera mirror, heated seats, and other things in place of wireless charging – all things considered. The dealer seemed to think that a retrofit (even at my expense) would not be viable. Presumably due to other vehicle infrastructure needing to be in place to support the wireless module. Maybe the missing piece is not the wireless pad itself but some other component that you’d have to disassemble the truck to install. I convinced myself that it didn’t matter. Wireless is handy but not really a fast charge and USB outlets are a plenty there. So I’m just calling it a “phone holder” 🙂
Wired or better, use a usb port
