I only just the other day realized this. When I test drove a Duramax equipped Denali Ultimate I noticed the reduction in chrome on the front bumper. At first, I thought GMC had further refined the design to darken things a bit more. Alas the v8 still has the shiny chrome front 🙁 – not to mention less-dark wheels compared to 2022. #cantpleaseeveryone
More air flow in any case would seem to be a positive and less chrome on the Ultimate is also a positive. Since I’m sure they’re always looking to cut costs, why not discontinue the v8 front and just use the same front that’s on the Duramax models?
I guess giving this piece the Vader treatment was just more than they could justify. Wish they had given the window trim and door handles the Vader treatment. Fingers crossed that Vader is not just a cheaply applied layer that will start peeling in a few years.
