ParticipantI got a very raw deal from my local Chevrolet dealer here in Massachusetts. The dealership refuses to work on my Silverado or deal with me. It’s because i gave them a few bad reviews in their (GM’s) review emails. Yes, I did give them bad reviews when they failed to check air in tires, to rotate the tires or to reset the tire position. According to their ads this is all done during oil changes.
Another more critical issue is that at one oil change they told me the serpentine belt and the tensioner were bad and had to be replaced. I OK’d the repair as it was under warranty. Being curious when I got home, I popped the hood and checked the belt and tensioner. They were both the original parts, and the tensioner had some pitting etc. from exposure and the belt was dull and old.
Because of a bad review for that and other things they told me after I made an appointment with them for an oil change and drove all the way to the dealership, they THEN told me they didn’t want to do business with me! Why did they wait until I drove all the way there instead of on the phone when I made the appointment?
In any event I would like to go to the manager of the New England area and maybe even higher if possible.
Does anyone know how to get in touch with manager of the New England area and maybe higher? I would really appreciate any info.
Even though I was treated badly I would like to still do business with them as all the other Chevy dealers are quite a ways away.
Oh, BTW the dealer is Imperial Chevrolet in Mendon, MA.
Thanks for any help and info. -

Participant800-222-1020 Chevrolet customer service. If you have a Repair order that says they replaced a tensioner and belt under warranty and didnt that will get the ball rolling. As far as not working on your truck, their choice.

ParticipantMan, whew, you sound like a nightmare customer. The service advisors, technicians & service management all get pay incentives(or decreases) based upon those surveys you tanked. So it’s definitely plausible they fired you as a customer based on that. You can’t fire off terrible reviews & then still expect them to give you top notch service, or any for that matter. The tensioner on that vehicle is made of cast aluminum & is “pitted” brand new. All OEM GM belts are “dull” brand new, so no slick surface, to not make noise. I would do a self evaluation, make some changes. There is no “area manager” GM dealers are all privately owned. But I would chalk Imperial up, you’ve cost them enough money already I would ascertain, firing a customer is last resort.
