They want $7,000.00 over MSRP to sell a 2023 High Country Tahoe.
That is so unethical in my opinion.

You should report them to GM. The major automakers have warned dealers to not price gouge and GM may be looking the other way until someone makes noise.

I was told GM does very little as way of penalty to these scum dealers. The worst ever known was they lose one allotment. Not held accountable.

My sister recently bought a Rav4 in Florida, they also jacked up the price by $7,000. So it’s not just GM, not that that fact excuses any of the greedy dealers.

However, for some reason in Canada, this does not appear to be happening as far as I know. I bought my 2022 Equinox RS in Dec 2021 and there was nothing added to the MSRP. I got the normal discounts as well. They gave me a decent trade in allowance for my 2013 Nox with 350,000km and broken front differential.

The fact they did not jack up the MSRP was a major reason I decided to buy new instead of used. Used car values here were (are?) greatly inflated to the point new cars make more sense – but you have to wait or take a model not exactly to your liking. In my case, I was going to wait for a lesser equipped RS in a different color, but when my 2013 differential broke I took a more expensive RS with more options. I was fortunate that the one I bought was arriving the next day and was not reserved – probably due to the fact it was pricier. In hindsight I am pleased with my 22 as I love all the fancy stuff I paid so dear for LOL

I’m unsure if the Provincial (Ontario) or Federal government here has anything to do with it, or if I just have an ethical dealer. I am thankful after hearing of many stories like this from the US.
