Hello everyone, So back on May 25th I signed paperwork and made a down payment for a 2022 Chevy Silverado. I was told that I will arrive by the end of June. They even gave me a temp tag whole nine yards. It is now mid August and no truck. I had no communication in July I tried calling and everyone was on vacation that could help or on sick leave. So I finally called last week and was told that my truck failed an audit and GM was taking parts off of it to use on other vehicles…….Really? So I was told they have another truck coming in out of state for me to repurchase. I believe but not 100% sure, but they want me to refinance and go through the whole process again. I made 2 payments on the truck that is still in Canada that I originally signed for. By the way I do have a memorandum title for it. The truck from out of state hasn’t arrived yet and they already wanting to drop it off in my drive way I told them no I will look at it first. This sounds so BS to me is anyone else going through this?
Thanks

Dealers know we’re in a different world now, but are putting up a brave face to customers. I don’t think they have a clue what’s happening and a lot of what they say, as you say, is Bravo Sierra. Also, they’re probably pretty tired of working graveyard shifts at Denny’s to make up for lost sales commissions due to little to no inventory and vehicle delivery delays.

What state are you in? Sounds like you’re being scammed. Why, how, do they issue you a temp tag and finance something that hasn’t be delivered? The fact it never left the plant is very troubling aLso. I’d contact GM, maybe the dealers Zone office and look into notifying your state district attorney or attorney general. They usually have a fraud unit. Good luck and don’t settle.
By The Way, did they give you a vin? If so, google it. GM automatically puts every vehicle, once it leaves a plant on the dealers website, even its it’s already sold, like your case. Dealers have no control until it hits the dealership. I put my vin in and it popped up on my dealers website “in transit”. A relative had the same thing happen with a Cadillac Escalade he ordered.
Good luck! -
