I’ve been waiting since 14 August for a Control Module to my 2021 XT5 3.6. I was told by the dealer that my XT5 needed 8 new control modules. They could get 7 of them, but could not get the last 1. Furthermore, I was told that 2 other dealers had the part my XT5 needed, but neither dealer would send my dealer the part. I was also told that since then, they had no idea when or where the part to my XT5 would become available to fix it. I’ve also been told several different module part numbers. GM-1945635; GM-13533490; GM-13518626; GM-85127982!!!! Whatever the module part number, my car has been sitting outside on rollers because the wheels are locked up, steering wheel locked up, Onstar works but they can’t get any info feedback on my car. If I knew there would be a problem, I never would have bought a Cadillac.

Every car company is having parts problems at this time however I’ll check on your part number Monday and see if I can help.
The other dealers that have your part probably wont sell it because they have it for a customer themselves.

I checked on the 4 numbers that you posted and the first number isnt a good GM part number, numbers 2 and 3 are available at GM warehouses all over the country, the 4th number isnt a serviceable but goes to a GM repair center and exchanged fort new one.
Hope you get your ride back..

The lack of clarity regarding when and where the part will become available is definitely adding to your frustration. It’s understandable that you would feel disappointed and regretful about purchasing a Cadillac if you had known about these potential issues.
I would suggest continuing to communicate with your dealer and expressing your concerns about the situation. They should be able to provide you with more information about the availability of the control module and any potential solutions to get your car back on the road.
