I have been a Chevy person since building ford and Chevy engines in my teens (50’s now). I found all the advantages to the Chevy that I though was smart. Never considered Dodge because the engine seemed clumsy to me. Recently have since found smart engine tech. in Toyota.
I still like the Chevy truck engine (with gaskets fixed) and truck build approach except for ONE thing. The truck wheel openings since 1973 have been so unpleasing to the eye. Whomever started this design, and those who approved it made a bad move.
I believe that the wheel openings should be changed to something more like the 1972 trucks. This would increase sales as most persons (In my opinion) would prefer the openings to be round because… well, wheels are round and the body would flow visually much better if thee wheel opening where rounded again.
It is time to stop the square wheel openings on GM trucks.
Please let me know your opinion…
