I own a 2015 Silverado 1500 crew cab 6.2 with the 8 speed. I bought the truck used, when I purchased truck it had brand new Goodyear trail runner At tires on it. It had a slight vibration which I thought it was the tires when I bought it. I don’t do a lot of highway driving, mostly back roads. But when taking it on the highway when it hits 65 and up center consule shakes, passenger seat etc. Took it to the dealer and of course it started at there’s nothing wrong with it blah blah blah. So it went from there to them saying it was the tires that were brand new so I replaced them, still shakes. They did multiple road force balancing on tires no change. There’s a 14 page bulletin on highway vibrations for these trucks/suv’s, Just wondering what other people have found for solutions. They did tell me that my stock 20 inch rims were flexing and throwing the balance off my tires, they told me that I had to replace my stock 20’s with steel rims to fix the problem which sounds like the biggest bs answer ever.

I’ve never had thst problem but they did have to replace my rack and pinion. Same thing nothing wrong from the dealership so i had to finally show them myself. Its a big fight with chevy getting anything fixed on one. They will blame whoever they can but themselves.

I know for the amount of money they charge for these vechiles it’s ridiculous that you have to fight for the dealers to fix anything. It’s not just gm, other brands are the same way. It’s been a 4 month process so far, I know these vechiles are mass produced and your going to have problems just fix them that’s all. We shouldn’t have to argue with the dealership especially when I still have a 100,000 mile Powertrain warranty.

True statement. Well after 3 days of fighting i have a new vacuum pump and also rack and pinion. So they actually did fix something im just wondering how long it will last. I do still have a noise while going above 45 or air coming in the door. I just said least you fixed the main issues i can deal with a little bit of air or ill by a new door seal. But it you got a leveling kit they will blame everything on that each time.
