My dealer has no information on my truck I ordered in November( I purchased a position online to order one) other than It is in Mexico missing parts as of today OCT 4,2022. The truck was built in Mexico in April. The rep they talk to basically has no Idea whats happening. The GM reps we talk to are in the lowest tier and you can’t get past them. The rep will not even give you information to anyone higher up. Does anyone out there have a name or a phone number I can call? it’s coming up on close to a year now. This is just pitiful. The website round robins you back to GMs lowest tier of contact again. Is this on purpose? I have a case number the only number I have is 866 790-5600/5700… thanks Ron

maxepr,
I feel your frustration!
Its be going on a year now for me !
I’ve been able to get a regional rep involved.
She has been great in assisting me..
I was able to aquire her number by Corporate.
So write an email to Mary Barra and be polite and explain your situation. She won’t respond an executive secretary will. She will escalate the concern to that regional Rep. You must request this..
Once you get a response from them then you will be informed of the true nature of the hold..
Bare in mind that they will have some pull but not all issues will be resolved. Example .. Parts , Chips , ect…
Good luck ! -

The regional Rep in northern NJ has my number and has not even tried to give me a call. The dealer has contacted me and said the rep was supposed to call me last month. That person never did I believe he or she is ducking me. I asked again through the dealer last week and they are still shooting for October delivery but like I said the truck is still in Mexico and If shipping take 3 weeks October 24 is pushing into November. I hope people considering ordering a GM truck read this and consider the possibilities of a year wait.

I just fired off a nice Email to [email protected] lets see if that works. I also called the dealer and asked them to call the local rep and ask her to contact me, lets see what happens.

So I contacted my dealer by stopping in, they looked up the truck I ordered a year ago and was built in April, the Gm team they contacted said the truck was still in the missing parts status, and when I contacted GM on their chat line the fulfilment team said my truck was waiting for pickup from a shipper status in Mexico. Someone is lying to me or my dealer. Again the truck is delayed another month, I was promised by an area Rep the truck would be delivered in October, Now its November with a maybe added on. I kind of do need a vehicle now for the upcoming winter. We are down to a ne car and a 18 year-old truck. Someone suggested writing to GM which I did, not even a thank you or acknowledgement of email received. Wow pathetic GM.

I would be hesitant to even take a vehicle that’s been sitting around for that long. Kind of opens you up to a lot of potential issues. I would actually work towards trying to get a truck that hasn’t been sitting or maybe getting some assurances that any issues will be covered by GM.

Well the truck I ordered in Nov 21, produced in April, November maybe??? It has crossed my mind, I’m actually thinking GM may scrap the vehicle before I get it..

Same boat as everybody else. Truck was manufactured first week of July and has been sitting in Mexico waiting for shipment. Funny thing is a dealer who is roughly 4 hours away from me has on their lot one that is exactly as the one I ordered but according to information sticker on the door jam, it was built in September in Mexico and already delivered. I called gmc and spoke to one their advisor. She tried to me in contact with the shipping department but apparently the shipping dept. doesn’t talk to the public. She then gave the same old speech about quality control and parts shortage. If there was a quality problem, it would have been fixed by now. I did contact my sale representative she said that according to vinview, my truck was still showing in Mexico. She did say that another sales rep. was waiting on a suv order and it arrived the day but according to vinview, it was still sitting at the factory. Heads need to roll at GM.

Good luck BK007, mine was ordered Nov.2021, built April 2,2022 and as of today it has not shipped from Mexico still in unfinished status. I have used the online contact service GM has but you will only find out what they have as info. It is very sad. I was told by the local GM rep. that I should have the truck in October, that’s not going to happen. You will get the same old speech, And the congratulations you must be excited, it gets old. Heads won’t roll at GM, they are in a sad state.

If this was the old Saturday night Live show weekend update, Fransisco Franco is still dead, and Ron’s truck is still in Mexico… Hope is fading, and trust is gone.

Well my truck is in Mexico at a 3rd party shipping yard and the are unable to get at it because it is so far in the back. GM is now blaming the shipping company for the delay. They are passing the buck. Train, ship, truck, I wonder when my 2022 truck will show up 23’s are on the lot. Should I walk away? Mike at GM says it’s every one else fault not GM, to verify this call him if you want 866-790-5600 ext. 5924413. Ask him where is Ron’s left over truck/ Not complaining just keeping everyone in the loop, you can’t make this stuff up

maxepr:
The lack of good Fall TV entertainment, has me checking out this blog, after purchasing my 2022 GMC 1500 AT4X, on 10-7-22.
I’m interested in…
How and if; maxepr’s year + of drama concludes?
“Not complaining just keeping everyone in the loop.” ROTGLMAO!
If I worked for GM… I’d avoid maxepr’s calls, emails, texts, carrier pidgin’s… etc.,
At. All. Cost.

Here you go GMC, Spoke to the Dealer yesterday, He said to me that GM is F up. My truck is sitting in a holding yard in Sialo Mexico, according to GM and is not a Priority. GM apologized again to the dealer but the 23s are being shipped as they come out and as the get room they will ship 22s when they get to them, keep in mind it goes rail to boat to Rhode Island then trucks to NJ and takes minimum of 21 days to travel. This was the first time I have seen the Dealer say GM is messed up with an F. I guess if you go with October promised date by the area Rep. and it was shipped today It should be here by October 53rd. You can always call Mike at GM to verify this, you can’t make this stuff up, 855-880-1500 ext. 5924413

Chris, I am not on twitter but a good Idea. Yesterday my dealer called me and told me the updates that GM has been giving them were from August 28th.You can’t make this stuff up. I was also told that the division the dealer uses for updates have no way of going any higher to find out anything, seems like divisions don’t communicate well with each other. They have no way of tracking the vehicles once they hit a holding yard, we had some laughs about that, the truck is in Mexico, Plan B was mentioned, that was settling for a 23-lot truck. Might be time to walk away, I have set aside being angry about this to laughing again how screwed up GM can be. Will I take the truck if it arrives? Right now, I don’t know. Tuesday is my next update from the dealership, keep in mind I have never received a weekly status update since I was promised one in July by GM. Next week is the year anniversary of ordering this, As the Drive Shaft Turns…
You can always verify this by calling Mike at the above number, ask him where Ron’s truck is.. -
