I just bought a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse LT AWD with low miles and with the BOSE sound system. It has radio access in the back, phone Bluetooth, and steering wheel radio controls.
I would like an in-dash Nav system. Everything I’m finding either doesn’t connect with the steering wheel controls, doesn’t allow the radio control in the back to work anymore, OR both.
I called a Chevy dealer for parts to find out if I could get a MyLink for the vehicle and he said they didn’t start putting them in until 2013.
I was wondering if:
1. Can I get a MyLink system and add it to my 2012 and have it work, or is it just incompatible period? If I CAN put one in, is there a particular year I should be looking for that it would be compatible with?
2. If I cannot get a MyLink system that will work with my vehicle, does anyone know of a reasonably priced in-dash Nav system that will allow me to maintain full functionality of my vehicles features? What is the make, model and price of the systems you’ve seen and where can they be found?
Thank you for your help.
