I ordered a new red Camaro convertible. I want red calipers and the dealer told me GM does not offer them. Nor will the dealer put them on as an aftermarket item. I was able to get them for my 2015 Corvette right from the factory. What gives?!
I looked at build a 2017 Camaro and Brembo brakes are available but it does not specify the caliper color.
Car & Driver shows a 2017 Camaro SS with red calipers

I could be that the Car & Driver photo does not represent the correct caliper color.
You may want to call Chevrolet customer service for assistance to see if red calipers are available. If so, they will work with your dealer to add them.
It may require some specific RPOs to be added (proper model, trim, etc)
It’s worth a try to call them, they helped on my last 2016 Van order.
1SS Coupe with 1LE gets option “J6M: Brakes, Brembo Red, 6-piston front monobloc calipers, 4-piston rear calipers, 2-piece rotors, performance, 4-wheel antilock, 4-wheel disc”
Unfortunately, J6M is not available for the Convertible as a factory installed option however red calipers are available as free-flow options, available for dealer installation, depending on availability:
“5JL: LPO, 4 Piston Front Brake Kit, includes Brembo Red brake calipers, slotted rotors and pad upgrade. Front brakes only.” This is for LS and LT models only.
“5LQ: LPO, 6 Piston Front Brake Kit, includes Brembo Red brake calipers, slotted rotors and pad upgrade. Front brakes only.” This is for LS, LT and SS models.
