Just looking to see if this is an unusual situation. I’m looking to ease my mind and frustrations. Getting to the point where the truck was actually built was a long two year story on its own.

The truck has been built for around 4 months or 15 weeks and has since been sitting in the rail yard outside of Ft. Wayne Assembly Factory. It’s “connected to car” but hasn’t seen any movement.

Any other similar stories? It’s out of GMs hands now, dealer included, because shipping is handled by 3rd party companies.

Same song just a different player. You will find almost everyone in here has a story similar to yours. I know of one guy whose truck sat in Mexico all summer long and to this day several months later he has not taken delivery. You are at the mercy of the railroad at this point. Perhaps your situation is a little different, could be held up for reasons related to the derailment in Ohio. Is your truck built as 22 or 23? I was fortunate because after over a year I did get my truck to production in Ft. Wayne and six weeks later delivered so for that I am grateful. Good luck and keep us updated.

holluk….. I have one more painful than yours. My 22 Denali was produced on May 28th and is in Purgatory still at the Fort Wayne assembly plant…. Bottom line is GM couldn’t care less about us the consumer… They now are in the drivers seat for the first time and they know it…

First question is why GM took down or close the forum on GM orders for trucks, you can no longer post anything on that forum. WHY.
Her is my sad story of customer service. Ordered a 2023 Danail ultimate Nov 2nd, 2022. I’ve been stuck in code #3300 for 5 months and no one at the dealer can tell me why. Keep getting the song that they don’t understand what the holdup is, asked if I could redo the order to speed it up, with no answers. The dealer here in Peria AZ. has crap for follow through. Do you think GM could build a truck a little faster than 5 months? Now they tell me that the truck will be built on April 3rd, really 6 moths to get a truck and then comes the shipping nightmare. All the advertising on TV about GM and their trucks is BS. Maybe they should take the advertising money and put that money to work in the plants to build vehicles. They sure make enough profits on the unit they sell. I’m sick of their corporate BS, just build and sell units. I hope corporate doesn’t break their arms patting themselves on the back for the stock price, remember that the American public bailed them out.

Peter9525, 3300 is scheduled for production and at that point there should have been a date assigned to your truck. Do you know which plant?

The truck I custom ordered in Jan 2022 was finally delivered this week after sitting since June. Ridiculous.

Truck is now in a jack copper transport hands. My order changed to 4B – Bayed. Anyone have an idea of what this means? It feels like it gone into yet another parking lot in Ft Wayne

4B could be either waiting for transportation or pulled for quality control.

Finally got mine Tuesday March 28th. It arrived at the dealership on the previous Saturday. Built mid October in Silao, sat there 2 1/2 mo. Then by rail to Shreveport LA where it sat another 2 1/2 mo. Then it went to Arlington, TX and sat there a couple of weeks. Then it started moving by rail up the coast… Probably a couple of weeks. Then it arrived in Brookfield, MA, 1 3/4 hrs away and sat there for a couple of weeks.

I have a 23 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate. Produced 1/10/23. Finally showed in transit on 4/7/23. I hope it is not another 2 month wait.

Why would GM shut down production for 2 weeks to clean up inventory when they cannot deliver on orders. Doesn’t make any sense. Ordered a 2023 1500 Ultimate on November 2nd, 2022. On April 13th still in #3800 has not moved. Dealer tells me that production date is set for May 15th. Should be delivered sometime in mid-June. So, here is the question when do they start producing the 2024-year model? The 2023 I ordered will be almost 6+ months old if and when I receive the truck. That doesn’t seem right, how will I register it, 2023 or a 2024?? Depreciation, not a great investment anyway…

Truck has now been built for 6 months. 28th of march, was moved to overflow lot. No ETA available. Status changed to Bayed: 4B. Been in this state for 3 weeks. I feel like it’s never going to show up at this point. Ordered Sept. 2021 for a 2022 Denali Ultimate, got rolled into a 2023 and higher price Aug 11th 2022. Been waiting since….
