I found a low km 6.0 for sale with what I thought to be a standard intake gasket job because of the rough idle. I removed the old one which had a hole that had a hole burnt through and also had oil in it. When I replaced it with the new one it still idles very high. I adjusted the throttle cables and if i set it to low it just stalls. There is no middle ground for the idle. And I get the engine flashing misfire code and I have no idea what’s causing all these problems. The fuel pump was replaced. And as far as I can tell I don’t hear or see an air leak. And I cleaned the crap out of the throttle body. The truck only has 155 thousand km on it. What is causing the constant high idle? What is causing the misfire? Why would a hole be burnt into an intake manifold? Why is there oil in my intake?
