Has anyone had their car’s engine oil and or filter analyzed for debris.
I wanted to start having this done to my Corvette track car but can not find a lab that will do oil filter tests.

I asked a trucker friend and he had no idea where to get a oil filter analyzed. He has a tool he bought and he randomly cuts open his oil filters per his KW/Cat owners guide. He says the best filters he found were Donaldson Endurance and he uses nothing else for the last 5 yrs or so. He samples his oil once every 15,000 miles but has not had to change oil in over 100,000 miles. Besides the Donaldson Endurance oil filter he also uses the Donaldson Endurance Air Filters and an AMSOIL HD bypass oil filter. His truck has about 1.4 million miles, its 2000 KW with Cat engine. 1 Million miles on synthetic oil, was Delvac and now AMSOIL for the last 5 yrs. Holds about 14 gallons I if recall.

I did go to Summit Racing and got a filter cuting tool. I cut the filter and it looks good. Royal Purple gave me the name of a company to test my oil. I was sent sample bottles take to samples to send in. I should receive results in a few days. I will let you all know what the test results state.
      Thanks for your help.

blackstone labs in indiana does oil debris testing for about $28.00 per sample.look them up on the internet. However they do not do filter analysis, there is a company here in ohio called testoil wich does filters at $300 a pop,i think they also do oil analysis, look up testoil also.
