ParticipantHow does one know if the Adaptive Headlights are functioning? My 2023 Escalade was not installing them when my order was produced. The 2025 order I just received has them. The book on the Adaptive Headlights, says that the left can move 15 degrees to the left and 5 degrees to the right, and the right headlamps can move 15 degrees to the right and 5 degrees to the left. I have not seen any action from the lights in numerous scenarios.

ParticipantAll GM cars, especially the Escalade are prone to problems (Google Escalade engine), don’t expect any help from GM, they are months behind on everything, now with the Canadian tariffs count on it never being fixed.

ParticipantI see adaptive headlights in the 2023 & 2024 manuals but there is no mention of it in the 2025 manual.

Participantjjwulf, its build code AFL T95 for the Adaptive Forward Lighting and in the details in the build I built it was on the Premium Luxury Platinum, and is on my build sheet for the vehicle. I have not seen any left and right action out it. Of course the leveling up and down works as well as the corner lights (side lights on and off when turning) the 2025 headlight system is totally better then the 2023 model I traded (2021,22,23,24 models) the prior to midlife renewal of the 2025 the high level of the headlights blinded the driver in snowfalls, or heavy rain and for fog they were not useable. They would blind you by hitting the elements in your line of vision. I was supposed to have the Adaptive headlights on the 2023 ordered build I purchased but they were on constraint due to chips.
again the T95 AFL says that the left can move 15 degrees to the left and 5 degrees to the right, and the right headlamps can move 15 degrees to the right and 5 degrees to the left. on curvy roads and turns

ParticipantSo does the 2025 “Adaptive Forward Lighting” not include the feature where you can keep your brights on at all times and it will turn off certain LEDs to cut out light, either if you are following a car or if you are meeting one? On my 2023 I can choose either intellibeam or adaptive headlight system

Participanti have not found a choice like that. But yes the lights dim automatically upon approaching a car or coming up on one. That is considered the adaptive high beams an is turned on or off. I leave that on all the time. However its the motion-movement of the left to right and vice versa of the beams that I am seeing any activity

ParticipantRicW, the manual covers all vehicles but if you give me the last of your VIN I’ll check the build sheet andsee if you have that option
