I can not believe how Buick is killing the Encore with unreasonable wait times and lack of information. After attending two auto shows, umpteen searches and mock builds on line and dozens of test drives, my wife and I chose the 2014 Buick Encore as our next new car. We both love our Pontiac Vibe with it’s great turning radius. The Encore was to become our poshed out Vibe. Leather, quiet cabin, smother ride, full power passenger seat, and the same turning radius made the Encore the best match we could find. At our age (65), and for $30,000 plus we want the Encore to be exactly to our liking. We ordered on Oct 29th and as you can guess, now almost 4 months later, still no Encore and no available information as to how much longer we may have to wait. Buick needs to rethink producing cars in Korea and bring the Encore back to the states. Not only has the long wait become irksome, but think of all the new competing auto have come on the market during the last 4 months. I must tell you that the new jeep Cherokee has now drawn out attention. Buick you are losing customers.

I am Inventory Manager at a Buick Store. The lead time for an ordered Encore is 120 days, has been since day one. Snow and cold weather could be slowing your vehicle since it is probably in the United States by now.

Thanks for the encouragement, however, if Buick really wants to be a luxury car they owe their clients a little more BASIC service. Like an occasional update on the build and anticipated delivery date. I have a car to sell and it would be nice to have some idea when I can let my current car go. Feels to me that Buick is just taking care of Buick. For $30,000+ they should kiss up to me a little.

I hate to say this but the Cherokee does seem nice and all… I did hear that it’s transmission is smooth since it’s just barely in it’s first model year…..

Final update. Took possession on March 6th. Happy so far, hope it was worth the wait.
