95 sierra 5.7 fuel pump not priming

      On starting fuel pump doesnt prime. Starts up idles rough then smoothes out. Pulled relay tested for prime signal and it’s good. Is it possibly a bad relay???

      Seems like a sign that the fuel pump is almost near its end. With my F150 same symptoms then died after 1kms with my Duramax same symptom also, good thing I just bought a spare of fuss fuel pump at http://4wheelonline.com/ or else I have to tow it home.

      I agree , probably time to replace the fuel pump , but I would check the fuel filter , too . Maybe just replace it too as preventative maintenance .
