Okay, GM wanted to up the mileage on the large SUV’s and Pickups but, for acceleration, towing capacity and passing ability with a heavy trailer the 3.3 just doesn’t cut it. I want a 6.6 Duramax in either a Suburban or Yukon XL. Is it ever going to happen or am I going to have to get someone to convert one for me? How about bringing back the Suburban 2500 with a 6.6 and the extra fuel tank that used to be available. THAT would be a great combo.
Interesting question.I think this is not a bad idea. I now have a problem with the Duramax engine, and more specifically with the fuel system.I decided to check the fuel filter with a pressure gauge. To do this, take a pressure gauge, connect it to the fitting located on the fuel injector. Start the engine. Measure the pressure of the combustible mixture. If the value is lower than the parameter specified by the manufacturer, then the filter does not work correctly. So it was on my Dodge.
