I want to order a High Country Chevy with the 6.2 but right now they can’t even order one. Whats going on with this? Is it the engine, does it have issues… what?
There’s nothing wrong with the engine. What’s most likely happening is that there is a supply issue with drivetrain components for the engine. My bet would be on a shortage of axles from a supplier, which puts a constraint (and ordering hiatus) on vehicles configured with the 6.2L V8 since they can’t be produced with missing parts (like axles).
Your dealer should reach out to their corporate Chevy sales representative and ask why the constraint exists. But it has nothing to do with the engine itself.
