Ordered new Denali 6.2 two weeks ago. Can’t understand why a 2K engine option doesn’t come with dual exhaust? Ram Hemi’s have duals (fake or not) but give you the look that a high output engine deserves. Duals might even raise the hp level another 10-20, better not see this offered at a later date.

      I’m right there with you.

It seems that this is something that GM isn’t very good at doing, period. As far as I can remember, no Silverado or Sierra — no matter the trim level has ever had a dual exhaust. Only the Cheyenne Concept that’s supposed to be the “street performance truck” has dualies out back, but who knows if that will even make it to production?

Why? Because it cost them more to produce it with that. Save a nickle here, a dime there and they increase their profits.

@GT: I don’t know which Denali you bought, the Yukon or or the Sierra, but the Sierras have a Borla dual exhaust option for $1295.

Dealer installed option, not factory although you can order it and then GM has the system dropped shipped from the supplier to the dealer once your vehicle is shipped. Its call an LPO, Limited Product Option. It has limited warranty, not by GM.

I’ve been thinking about this, of course my wife won’t see any purpose behind this, but I believe it this is part of an “emissions recall” with the 6.2. lol

As long as the single pipe is big enough to move the sufficient volume of air x at the sufficient pressure y, it really doesn’t make a difference if it is single or dual exhaust.
