2002 GMC with 5.3. What is the final torque to yield on cylinder head bolts 1 through 10?
I do not have a FSM, I only have a Haynes. My Haynes says to 1) torque 22 ‘ lb, then 2) torque ALL 11 mm additional 90 degrees, then 3) torque bolts 1 through 8 additional 90 degree then 4) torque bolts 9 & 10 additional 50 degree.
I am not sure I trust Haynes. I have watched two other You-tubes & they are doing torque to yield 90 degrees & then applying final torque of 70 degrees on ALL 11 mm bolts.
Does anyone know what the FSM actually calls for?
