Is it me or the navigation of my 110,000$ GMC SIERRA it crap.
So what exactly seems to be the issue, my 23 GMC Yukon SLT navigation seems to work just fine. My only complaint is with the app and the map , I haven’t figured out how to send trip(s) from the app to the vehicle, I used to be able to do it !! Otherwise my nav works great ! P.S I HATE GOOGLE THOUGH !!
My 2024 2500 Sierra goggle maps has frozen on me a couple of times. It loses connection to the GPS and just quits updating my location. I eventually figured out that when that happens, you must go into settings and clear the cache memory on goggle maps. I believe it has a memory leak. The other complaint about google maps is that it frequently does not send directions to my HUD. Stopping and restarting the truck seems to help that sometimes.
I downloaded waze app to the truck. Waze on the truck takes forever to load. I have basically gone back to using my phone gps for long trips.
I am a geek. I work in large and complex software systems maintenance and governance. The software on the truck has multiple bugs relative to integration to the user interfaces and each other. I am not convinced that the processor or hardware supporting the software is sized correctly because it seems to wait for processor time.
