I place initial order 1/12/21 was given an order number the following Thursday 1/21/21 which concides with what I’ve read here regarding orders every other Thursday. 2/18/21 will be 4 weeks, according to the online chat I’m stuck at 1100 preliminary order accepted, how long am I expected to stay their before factory does anything. Does anybody have any infomation as to how long an order really takes. I only ordered because there is no stock around with the Hunter Metallic. I’m seeing info on random websites that actual order to delivery can take up to 23-25 weeks. Was my dealer blowing smoke up my butt when he said 10 to 12 weeks but closer to 12 weeks?

Went to gmc online chat today and I think I got promoted to event code 2000 this is message I got.

Your order for your 2021 GMC Sierra Crew Cab 4WD has been accepted by the plant. GMC has now accepted your order in the system but does not have an assigned targeted production week. For now, you may continue to contact us or you may call your selling dealership for further information regarding timing of production.

I ordered my 2021 Sierra 3500HD SLT DMax on Dec 14… been checking online for status the last few weeks – getting the same message “order accepted, no Target Production Week yet, please check back later”. Coming up on 11 weeks. Wish I could get some good news soon.

I tried to post about my order, but it doesn’t seem to load. We have ordered a 2021 GMC 3500HD Sierra Denali standard bed and it has an projected production week of 3/29/21. No one seems to be able to answer what I think is a simple question. That question is, “Once the production week is confirmed, what is the average delivery time to a dealer in Texas after the production date?” I know there are lots of factors in getting the truck in production, but would think someone at GMC would know the average shipping time once the truck is built. Thanks

I think I’m at event code 3300 order selected, scheduled for production.

This was the Feb 17 message on the GM chat. Your order # has been accepted by GM and on the line for production. The target production week is on 3/15/21

I checked again today and it was the same message production week is 3/15

So that puts me at approx. 8 weeks from order to production, if factory holds true to the 3/15 date, I’m hoping for a mid April delivery that would put me at 12 weeks till delivery, which is what the dealer told me originally. And hopefully 0 percent on Denali’s with GM trying to get tax refund out of everyone’s pocket.

I wish their was a better way to follow, I think the dealer does the same thing, but not sure.

I ordered my GMC 3500HD Denali on 12/17/20. As of 3/4 it was at 3100 (order available for sequence) level. The dealership said they expect delivery by the end of March or 1st week of April. That would put it around 13 weeks if you take out the holiday shutdown. The dealer estimated 12-14 weeks when I placed the order. Given the microchip shortage everyone is dealing with I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes a little longer.

New member here awaiting my 21 Sierra Denali HD and was told that it is 3300 and scheduled to be built next week. How long does it usually take to be shipped?

I have a 19 and this will be my 4th new one.

My 3500 HD Denali was at 3100 on March 4th and I picked it up from the dealership on March 25th. So only 3 weeks in total.

Anyone still waiting on delivery? Going on 8 weeks with nothing yet. (ordered 3/10/21). Haven’t heard from the dealer other than the truck as been accepted. Hearing 12 weeks is the new normal. Does that still ring true for 2021 Sierra 2500HD?

These are hard times for new vehicle buyers. With all the covid closing it has strained the supply channels and logistics nationwide. The plants were put on hiatus for well over a month.
