I ordered a 2024 Trax the other day and was given an order number, I’m terrified of how long it will take after reading all these horror stories!!! Who knows if and when GM will even accept the order. what are your thoughts? they just started production on the model itself on feb 13. any insight?

Congrats on your 2024 Trax order. Go to chevrolet.com at the chat box start with “Hi” then write back “Order status” wait for the system to respond, then enter the order number. You should receive a reply that your order has been accepted by GM, or that it has been entered by the dealer and has still not been accepted by GM. Make sure you don’t have the Rear Park Assist option because there is a restriction at the moment. Hope this helps!

Yes, the Rear Park Assist requires WPA. Awesome order combination, congrats! I ordered 1RS with WPA and UD7, then my dealer called me to say they removed UD7 due to parts restrictions.

Thanks! Congratulations to you as well! It’s my first time ordering let alone buying a car. I’m worried because my dealer claimed they had an allocation to order after I asked them. I’m hoping they actually do, and my order will be accepted by GM sooner than later, but I’m worried they might have just said that to keep my business and wait for an allocation? I know car salesman sometimes don’t get the best rep. Did your dealer give you a timeline? Has yours been accepted by GM?

Thank you as well! It’s too much to be worried for. It’s a brand new vehicle and the production is in it’s first year, so the odds are high to have enough production for your order to be accepted for production by the GM South Korean plant. So, just let it go and trust that all should fall into place at the right time. Hopefully your dealer will call you to give you some great news soon than later!!
The dealer’s timeline they provide you with is pretty vague. l’d expect 6-8 months until the vehicle arrives at my dealership, who already provided me with the news my order was accepted by GM.

Congratulations on your order. I can’t say anything for sure about the time, of course. But I’m sure it will not be as soon as we all would like. A huge number of different things can affect time. It’s very much like when you look at property in dubai marina for sale https://everhomes.ae/, you know you can buy it, but you know exactly when the deal will happen because there are lots of factors that don’t depend on yourself. So, in this situation, one can only hope and expect it to happen soon. Congratulations again on your purchase.

I have a deposit down on a black activ trim with all of the options/packages. It’s currently in 3300 status in the production process and should be here relatively quickly. The dealership had originally ordered it with their first allocation of five cars and I snatched it up right away. Hopefully will have it sometime around late April/May!

I reserved my Trax at the beginning of May, and I’m still waiting on it.

Every time I check in with my dealership, I’m told it’s still at the port waiting for delivery.

So because of the parts restriction on the driver convince package, is that probably why my vehicle is taking so long to arrive at my dealership? I reserved one of their allocated models that was in production.
