Just pick up our new Traverse z71 and loving it!. Unfortunately with 3 kids we need all the room possible. When folding down the 3rd row the seat headrests are supposed to fold down to allow the 2nd row seat to still have full range of movement forwards and backwards. The headrests do not fold down on either side. Has anyone encountered this or heard of a way to get them to fold without breaking them. Just curious if I’m missing something or is this just a failed design?
Thanks
This is a known issue and they (GM/Chevrolet) are working to redesign(!) the mechanism to solve the problem. When the new parts will arrive is still unknown.
I also have a new 2024 Traverse with the same problem with the third row headrests. I really need to use the vehicle with the third seat folded and full use of the second row seat. Is the fix getting priority attention? How will we be notified when it’s available?
This is also an issue with my 2024 traverse LT model. When do you think GM will have a fix? Thank you
